The Navigator’s Chart

Welcome aboard! The Navigator’s Chart lays out the different seas and shores of my posts, ranking each game’s voyage.

  • Uncharted Waters: A strategically deep and complex game with lots to explore – a true gem!
  • Open Seas: A game with a good balance of strategy and accessibility, offering a consistently enjoyable voyage.
  • Calm Coastline: A light and easy-to-learn game, perfect for casual play and smooth sailing.
  • Rough Seas: The game has some issues (e.g., clunky rules, minor downtime, fiddliness) that might hinder enjoyment or cause minor frustrations, making for a bumpy ride.
  • Lost at Sea: For me, this voyage was a complete miss, and I felt truly lost in the experience; while not broken, it just didn’t click, though it might be the adventure for someone else.
  • No Safe Harbor: This game offered no refuge for my preferences, and while I wouldn’t seek it out or purchase it myself, I’d likely partake if others wanted to play.
  • Ship Graveyard: This game just didn’t chart a course for me at all, and I’d steer completely clear – an experience I have no desire to revisit.
